Wine and sparkling wine:
Argentina exports wine to more than 60 countries. The main destination in volume is Russia and EE.UU, buying mainly wine in bulk. But bottled wine is exported to more than 80 countries all over the world reaching more than U$ S 700 Million.
Argentina satisfies the main standards of enological quality and takes specific characteristics of each varietal to its maximum expression. Among red wines the argentine Malbec is the most outstanding and appreciated worldwide because of is structure, body and color. Among white wine the Torrontes is emblematic also.

Argentina has achieved record production of olives by hectare in recent years, and in some cases production has been exceeded 30.000 kg/ ha placing the country among the 10 largest producers worldwide. The main producing regions comprise the provinces of Catamarca, Cordoba, La Rioja, Mendoza and San Juan.
The main varieties are Arauco and Manzanilla.
Exports exceed 100.000 tns in 2008 an the main buyers are Brazil, EE.UU., Canada, and Mé xico more recently. Figures place Argentina between the second and third place as exporter worldwide, with a 17% share in estimated total world sales.

Olive Oil
Argentina has been producing olive oil since the 17th century when the colonizers planted the first olive trees. Today the main producer provinces are Catamarca, Cordoba, La Rioja, Mendoza and San Juan.
Excellent quality oils are obtained from olive varieties like Arbequina, Frantoio, Coratina, Picual, Empeltre and Barnea.
Export sales have exceeded 18.200 tns placing Argentina among the ten largest exporters all over the world. The main importer countries are EE.UU. Brazil and Italy.
The main processing plants may crush an average of 100 tons/ day and all of them apply 2-phase extraction system.

Sugar Confections:
The name " sugar confections" refers to popular candy ( chewing gums, pastilles, aniseed candies, mints and drops, Christmas candy and other candy without cocoa) .
Argentina has almost 125 companies dedicated to the production of this type of candy, mostly small and medium sized enterprises.
Argentina exports raised to 70 thousand tons last 2008. The main destinations of these sales abroad are the United States, Chile, Paraguay, Mexico and Honduras.
Chicken meat and poultry products:
The region where argentine chickens are produced is located in the Humid Pampas, an area where 90% of the country´ s cereals and oil crops are produced. With these same cereals is elaborated the balanced food which argentine chickens are feeded.
With a production reaching 1, 000, 000 tons a year argentine producers are organized under the system of vertical integration.
After Brazil, the biggest world wide exporter of chicken products, Argentina is the second best producer and exporter in South America. The objective of his production is to produce a high quality and healthy product, in accordance with the clients needs.
Other important issue to considerate is that Argentina is fully recognized by the World Organization for the Animal Health as free of Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease. This brings to Argentina one of the highest health standards in Latin America.
The overall exports of chicken meat of Argentina are increasing every year. The main import markets for the Argentinean production are: Venezuela, SudiArabia, United Arab Emirates, China, Germany, UK, and Angola between others.

-Maduration: every chicken destinated to prepare breast are maturated in low temperatures between 12 to 16 hours before frozen IQF. This brings to the breast a very good tenderness.

Fish:
Argentine fishing production has a clear exporting bias and its contribution to Argentines trade balance represents around U$ S 1.000 million per year.
The main fish, crustaceous and mollusk species captured in the country are well accepted by the international markets, especially as frozen products with different processing degree.
Argentine hakes, shrimp, prawns, squids, scallops and croakers are the main exported ones.
